Madeon—Minimix (Annie Mac Radio 1) | Incredible 5 minute mix.

Madeon strikes gold again! Believe it, it’s true.  Incredible stuff right here.  Taking samples from 90+ songs, Madeon reworks small instrument samples plus his own work and others to mash this high-energy mix.  I wish it were more like an hour, but I’ll take anything Madeon throws out and instantly put it on repeat.  I can’t believe how I missed this one (I’m 23 days late), but I’m obviously happy that it’s featuring in my life now.  I’ve listened to it at least 6 times and I honestly can’t decide on a favorite part. WOW.  This is a testament to the Madeon’s production skills.  He’s featuring at multiple stops of the Identity festival in the states, so do yourself a favor and go party with him.  You’ll be glad you did.

No doubt about turning this one up!

Unite Kids (Tommy Trash Private Bootleg)—PNAU vs. MGMT

Tommy Trash brilliantly brings together two tracks, along with his own flare, in this fantastic track.  Don’t worry, Kids is not overused in this one.  And when’s the last time you heard the original from MGMT anyway??  It’s fantastic on its own.  PNAU’s lyrics are gold too…”Unite us, baby I can feel a change.  Don’t we all feel the same?”  You can download this one too, so be sure to do that real quick.

Embrace Me (Dirty South Remix)—John Dalhback

So I’ve featured some John Dahlback before (killer remix of Stockholm by Jonathan Johansson) but now Dirty South has released this remix of Dahlback’s track.  And honestly, it’s been on repeat lately.  The track builds nicely by introducing the beat and then the lyrics smoothly blend in until the track just ignites.  And then everything just drops off to build the track again! It’s got a beautiful focus on the lyrics which I always love.

Second post of the night…this delay has definitely increased my productivity.

This track literally dropped about 15 minutes ago…and its fire (no pun intended). Adrian Lux kills it again, this track has everything, sick beat, amazing vocals, and one heck of a drop.  Currently I am enjoying the heck out of this song so I am a bit short for words….

Don’t Let Me Down (Gramatik Remix)-The Beatles | Incredible Bangin’ Remix of an Incredible Band

Whats up y’all,

Currently chillin in PDX airport bout to head back to Boston to get on that job hunt grind.  Obviously my flight is delayed 45 minutes, even though its a Red-eye….not sure how those can be delayed, but whatever, is what it is. Plus PDX has free Wi-Fi so yeah…I really can’t complain.

Tonight I’ve got a ridiculously awesome new remix coming from Gramatik, who we have yet to feature on the site.  I really like a lot of what Gramatik is coming out with now-a-days but this is honestly just over the top awesome.  I have always felt that remixing old classics is the next big thing in the electronic music movement.  It definitely is not something that an inexperienced DJ can just throw together, it takes a lot of skill and understanding of the music to make sure the original is not ruined by the remix.  Fortunately for us, Gramatik knows what the hell he is doing…he absolutely crushes this remix! I’m serious people seated around me must think I am crazy, because I am essentially dancing in my seat.  

Turn this track up and let the vibes take you over…

Miracle (Viceroy Remix)-Ghost Beach | Summertime All the Time

Oh Viceroy you have done it again, in my eyes he can do no wrong with producing the best summertime jams. This track quickly made it onto my first summer playlist, as has every other Viceroy jam.  The beat alone gets me into the summertime mood, add in the vocals and its game over.

Turn this one up and smile…its impossible not to

Finale (Original Mix)-Madeon | Banging New Dance Track

So yeah, I am definitely stealing some of Matt’s thunder here, he’s in love with Madeon’s tracks…and this one only further explains why.  Madeon, freshly turned 18 French producer, has finally released the full version of Finale on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show. And…holy Sh*t this track is epic, it has such an upbeat and raging vibe to it.  Every time I hear this song all I want to do is get up and dance. The vocals are so awesome, they really complete the song, it definitely has the same type of Madeon vibe that we have all come to love. Those deep drawn out synths that truly make you feel the music…something that is extremely difficult to achieve. 

Be on the look out for some new tracks from him this summer…it was rumored that he would be putting an EP together, but last I heard he was sticking to releasing singles.

Rise & Fall (Krewella Remix)-Adventure Club Feat. Krewella | Crunchy New Remix

Yes. Krewella remixed their own track with Adventure Club, taking it to a whole new level. Adding some more of their signature crunch to the track as well as more amazing vocals. One thing I respect about this remix, is that they hold a majority of the melodic and chillstep parts.  In all honesty I love both the original and the remix, but as of right now the remix is on top.

Check it out, turn it up, and enjoy…I’m serious, this collaboration needs to happen more often.

Spectrum (Calvin Harris Remix)-Florence & the Machine

So I have always been a huge fan of Florence, her vocals mesmerize me to no end.  And when someone as big as Calvin Harris gets his hands on one of her tracks the possibilities are endless.  He definitely did not disappoint on this remix, leaving the perfect amount of her vocals, mixed with his hypnotic house beat has created an epic dance track.  You can expect to hear this track played all summer long.

Wide Awake (Kaskade Radio Edit)-Katy Perry | Awesome new D&B tune from Kaskade

“If pop music could only sound like this all the time…”-Kaskade

I really could not have expressed it any better myself.  Kaskade’s take on KP’s track Wide Awake is perfect.  This is Kaskade’s first foray into making a drum and bass remix since Coke was 50 cents in the vending machine, and well he hasn’t lost his touch at all.  He hooks you in with a deep heart thumping intro and Katy’s majestic voice.  Following that up with such an epic break down running straight into the chorus…gotta love how he picks the tempo up just a touch to keep your heart racing. 

Enjoy this track and turn it up loud enought that maybe all the Pop artists will take a hint…
